The field in the elite class, the so‑called Seniors League A, is very small this year — only three entries had been received by editorial deadline on Tuesday afternoon. For example, Nicolas Wagner Ehlinger and Fie Christine Skarsoe, probably the most prominent Luxembourg dressage riders in recent years, are absent. The former, with Quater Back Junior, was still competing at the World Championships in Aachen in mid‑August.

The three registered riders are Diane Erpelding, who will enter the elite class with Lorenzzo, Linda Meisch with Patty’s Mistake, and Kristine Møller‑Engel, who will compete in Senior League A with Bon Gregoria (title photo). In Senior League B — as of Tuesday, 8 September — no fewer than eight riders had signed up for the title race; in the Amateur League Gold fifteen pairs are registered, in the Silver League eighteen, and in the Amateur League Bronze nine. In addition to the championship titles for dressage riders, titles for young horses will also be awarded.

The prizegiving ceremony for these four-, five- and six‑year‑old dressage horses are scheduled for Saturday, 12 September at 11:40 a.m.; the remaining prizegivings will take place on Sunday after the Grand Prix freestyle. In addition to the sporting programme, there will also be off‑ring attractions at “Bouferterhaff” this weekend.

On Thursday, following the training sessions, a welcome drink is offered from 7:00 p.m., and on Saturday there will be a new feature compared with previous tournaments at the Mangen family’s facility: starting at 7:00 p.m. there will be a foal show where owners can present their foals from this year together with their mares. Afterwards there will be a party with a DJ.
